It was such a pleasure to host the December event of EnRoL! - The Human Rights and Rule of Law Speaker Series! The webinar brought together scholars and practitioners from across the globe - this time to discuss climate justice.
Our three speakers, the Max Weber Fellow Dr. Giada Giacomini (EUI) and the human rights lawyers Irene Bonetti and Giovanna Valentim, explored how the climate justice discourse is intertwined with indigenous peoples' rights and shared how they filed a request with the International Criminal Court to investigate Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil's former president, over alleged genocide against indigenous peoples.
